Stayed here for two nights Saturday-Bank holiday Monday. Checked into the room 5 after 5pm on the Saturday and checked out at 10:30 on the Monday. We were given the key to room 5 and for a two night stay it met all of our needs. Nice bed, dressing table, single wardrobe space to hang up clothes etc. if needed. Coffee and tea provided with kettle and milk and a small TV on the wall if you needed it. The bathroom was a nice size, with toilet sink and a nice walk in shower. Space for toiletries in the shower and above the sink. Heated towel rail which can be switched on/off from the outside of the bathroom. When you switch on the bathroom light it also turns on the fan. This can be a bit noisy/create a hum sound though as well as when the toilet is flushed. We tried not to flush as much during the night to not disturb each other and other guests.
The door to room 5 is on the main road so I was worried about the noise, however it was very quiet at night with minimal people and cars driving past. Which on a bank holiday weekend was surprising but very nice. We did keep the blind down for the majority of our stay as the window is also on the main road.
The only criticism I have is that although the blind managed to block out most of the light, the window above the front door cannot be covered at night. So as a light sensitive person, I couldn't stay asleep for long during the night/early morning, due to the room not being as dark as I'm used to.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here and were not disappointed. The Staff are absolutely brilliant and their service is incredible.
We booked for breakfast on the Sunday morning. I think the usual times are 7-9 (9:30?) normally, but on the Sunday it was only until half 8. The breakfast was lovely, I can't comment on the cooked breakfast as we had toast/the continental but judging from the amazing food we had the night before I have no doubt that it would be amazing.
Definitely recommend the Abercrave Inn and 100% recommend the...
Read moreIt’s awful, not all that cheap, only 1 member of staff in the pub on a Sunday afternoon who seemed to have no list of bookings or even a clue I was coming.
The room was very tired (ive just seen a picture of the room looking identical 6 years ago) and I don’t think it’s had a proper clean for a long time. The only thing that made me not walk straight back out was the fact I was very tired and at least they seem to outsource their laundry so at least the bed was clean enough to sleep in. If this place lasts much longer i will be...
Read moreAccommodation was basic but OK, had evening meal which was very nice. Although they advertise breakfast in with the price, they were not putting on breakfast due to new owners. I did suggest they could at least put a continental breakfast on that would not involve any cooking. The young lady in charge said they wouldn't be putting breakfast on until middle of April. Still paid the same price for...
