Alandas Longniddry Bents — Local services in Great Britain

Our first stop off at Alanda's chip 🍟 van. After reading 📚 some of the previous comments regarding portion size, we were a bit apprehensive. There was no need to be because the portion sizes were just right.

The battered fish 🐟 was awesome. The batter texture was light and crispy, and the haddock was chunky, flaky, and definitely fresh. The battered prawns again were awesome 👌 👏 light crispy batter and large fresh prawns, our chips 🍟 were cooked through slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside 😋. All in all, for £27 well worth it, and everything is cooked whilst you wait, and for dessert we had two the two scoops of 🍓 ice cream. The first time I discovered Alanda’s van at Longniddry it was quite the best fish and chips I had ever tasted. The batter was so light and crunchy, like tempura. The chips were perfectly cooked and the fish itself was so fresh. A few weeks ago it wasn’t just quite as good but it was still better than my local fish and chip shop. However, last night something clearly had gone wrong. The fish batter was crispy at either end but soggy in the middle. The chips were anaemic and needed a second fry. Worth the drive from Edinburgh — delicious fish & chips! We drove all the way from Edinburgh to try Alandas Fish and Chips and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and flaky with perfectly crispy batter, and the chips were hot, golden, and full of flavour.

We went to Seaview Point — the view was stunning, and the sea breeze made it feel like a mini getaway.

Pro tip: remember to take camping chairs so you can sit and enjoy your meal in comfort with a great view!
