If you want a peaceful retreat in the middle of the Herefordshire countryside, then this is the place for you. We had good weather on our first afternoon/evening and the next morning and sitting on the deck outside the tent enjoying the view of the countryside, the quiet and the sun was fantastic. The weather then deteriorated and our second night was spent listening to the pouring rain on the tent - which was strangely relaxing. So, we would recommend this as suitable for all types of weather - although the former is definitely preferable!||||We took the opportunity of our stay to explore the surrounding area and visited Leominster, Ludlow and Hereford - all of which are between 10 and 25 minutes away by car. Weobley, one of the famous black and white villages, is also well worth. visit. ||||Moira and David have fitted out the 2 bell tents in the field next to their house and a short (25m) wale away from a small but well-appointed kitchen/bathroom. The tent has a very comfortable double bed, beautiful quilt, blankets, a wood burner, hot water bottles (should they be needed) and plenty of candle lanterns - as well as a powerful torch! Wood for the burner can be purchased if needed but even though the evenings were quite chilly we found the quilt and blankets more than adequate.||||It was out first experience of glamping so, although we are not experts, we came away feeling that we had a brilliant experience. Thoroughly...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place - out in the middle of nowhere with just the sounds of wildlife around, Moira and David have created a wonderful glamping spot with great facilities. A warm welcome, beautifully fitted out tents and comfortable beds with fluffy duvets. It seemed that every detail has been thought of - even down to the jar with spare tea lights for the candles, a torch hanging in easy reach, long matches, firelighters and wood for the stoves in the tents - you really do just need to bring your bag! ||||It may me in the middle of nowhere but it is only 12 mins to a supermarket and within easy reach of kayaking on the Wye and numerous castles and other attractions. ||||Moira and David were lovely hosts and anything that was needed such as refills on firewood appeared swiftly. The kitchenette, toilet and shower room were nicely fitted out to the standard you would expect in a home, (i.e. not campsite) and spotlessly clean.||||Thank you Moira and David - we will...
Read moreWe had a wonderful break at this beautiful, very peaceful, private site and we found it really special and romantic. During Covid times Moira and David have only been renting out one of their two bell tents unless people come as a group which meant we had the place to ourselves except for the friendly pigs who liked being fed and stroked, and the occasional chicken, sheep or cat wandering past. Moira and David are very welcoming and helpful and have the balance just right between giving you space and making sure you are happy and your needs are being met. We had the challenge of camping through storm Francis and she tested our tent to full potential but she stayed standing. It was our first experience of glamping and it was the perfect balance of very cosy comfort with a lovely bed with lots of blankets and a wood burning stove and tea lights and yet the simplicity of camping. We highly recommend this place and will go back. It was a very special...
