Bonnie View provides a truly holistic, value for money veteran service. Finding a place which provides excellent and knowledgeable physical care is one thing, but a place which meets the emotional needs of both the horse and owner too? That is rare. That place is Bonne View.
Each horse and owner is understood and treated as an individual by a team who have an in depth knowledge of not only horses, but veteran horses and their unique requirements. I looked for 2 years to find a place where my boy would be able to retire and enjoy life naturally as a horse, while meeting my high care expectations. After 11 years of faithful service as a family horse, I wanted him to retire when he could, not when he had too. He deserved it.
Everyone at Bonnie View is extremely hard working, the horses are checked and observed from seven until nine daily with night time checks (via the camera system) if the owner is remotely concerned. The owner advises of any concerns she or the staff have, no matter how minor. Any recommended or requested small step care changes are discussed fully and agreed.
Our boy moved to Bonnie View in January 2019, aged 19 (nearly 20) and, while he was still in work at the time, I recognised over the previous 10 months he would prefer, and benefit from a quieter life. Although he has age related health needs, we still take him for gentle walks on visits and initially occasionally rode. The air is so pure and peaceful, the sound when you step out of your car is like listening to a recording of bird song and of course the views are amazing!
As soon as we arrived for our first visit, it felt right. The welcoming family atmosphere that the owner has developed is definitely sensed by the horses. Once we had a place (as you can imagine there is a waiting list!), we met to talk about Our boy and his needs. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and he has transitioned to Bonnie View life beautifully. He kept all his specific care needs and feeding as he was used to, something I was concerned I may have to compromise on at a retirement livery.
As an owner we spend years stressing daily about our horses Bonnie View takes away the stress and constantly reviews your horse and his health and wellbeing considering all factors. I would describe myself as pretty organised but they are always one step ahead! The monthly email about your horse is a minimum, while we aim to visit weekly, on occasion when we are not able to, I have a long catch up with the yard on the phone. The owner, her family and staff, always have time to chat about your horse on visits and genuinely do treat them as they would their own.
Our boy is like a new man! We discover something we didn't know about him every time we visit! Seeing our boy reverting to type as a native is a delight and exactly what I wanted, I am sure he is smiling (with his long grey whiskers) at his...

Absolutely everything was wonderful: it was supplied with everything we needed, such as all kitchen utensils, pans, washing up liquid, hand wash, antibacterial wipes, toilet roll…the list goes on and on. I brought my own hairdryer but needn’t have bothered as there was one in the wardrobe for guests. Everything was immaculately clean and we felt so welcomed when we got there with our guest pack of tea, coffee, jam, Biscoff biscuits, and sugar. The wifi was good and we enjoyed watching Netflix on an evening - what an unexpected treat! The hot tub was nice and warm when we got there so we enjoyed that for a while. I enjoyed building a fire the next day to warm it back up again and it got lovely and hot. My son loved watching the wildlife and even got to pet a couple of the horses up close (over a gate - they were secured in a field). My personal highlight was the two ducks who we saw a few times over the three days we were there, following each other around the grounds 😍🥰 We had days out at Monk Park Farm, Eden Camp, and GoApe at Dalby Forest, which were all within 40 minutes distance of Bonnie View. We enjoyed all three experiences. Even though we had wifi and Netflix, the stay still felt magical due to the peaceful and beautiful surroundings and we actually spent quality time together playing board games and toasting marshmallows on the fire pit (logs are supplied for fire pit and hot tub on an honesty box basis). I am hoping to get back here in the summer. Thank you so much to...

This place is very majestic and tranquil. The views are jaw dropping, the animals are beautiful and the owners have the purest hearts. This cosy cabin called the Niblet had everything we needed and more, and the extra little touches are so thoughtful and just made my heart melt. We will definitely be back here and make this our regular get away in nature. I will also be using this gorgeous place as a girly weekend away with friends and with my mum and sisters. If youre debating about booking Binnie view farm, don't debate, book it! You'll love every moment and you won't be disappointed. We already miss this place ❤️ Worth every penny! Ohh, and not to forget the two best friends waddling around, the black duck and the white duck patrolling the grounds, how cute! The little bunnies hopping and playing was such a pure sight within nature. And not to forget the sheep and horses, what beautiful animals! We had two little pony's next to us who were just so sweet! All animals are very well looked after, so is the farm, and the owners and staff are such fantastic people! Thank you all so much, we hope to see you soon. ...
