Absolutely amazing views from the top of this massive mountain ⛰️. The summit is 1065m with plenty of good walking paths from all directions. Stunning views of snowdonia and associated mountains. Will require a good fitness level. Remember to dress appropriately as the mountain is exposed to cold wet westerly winds often. This mountain is less well troud then snowdon but almost of the same height. At the top there is a round wind break for sheltering from the wind. Lastly definitely worthy if you have the fitness and enjoy your expedition.

Great days hiking in the ogwen valley. Started at the farmhouse at Dyffryn ogwen. No real problems finding the route up pen yr ole wen then onto Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd llewelyn. Nice bit of grade 1 scrambling about 2 thirds up. Heading back down via pen yr helgi and back to the A5. Amazing views of the ogwen valley and the menai strait and Anglesey. Highly recommended in all about 6 hours hiking and hard going in some places but well worth it. None of the mad crowds like snowdon in all saw about 6 other people all day.

I) mit sensationellem Seenblicken.

The 3rd highest mountain in the UK south of the Scottish Highlands, whichever way you do it it's a long walk, the shortest route would probably be via Craig yr Ysgfa, but if you're not prepared to do some scrambling then the longer routes would probably suit you better. I've mostly done it from Gerlan as it's not technically difficult, a long walk but well worth it and it has in my opinion, the best 360° views from any of the Welsh 3000's. But make sure you give yourself a whole day to do the walk and you won't be...
