Just had a lovely weekend away in Fellside Glamping pod with our new puppy Vinny.
It was our first time in a pod and we all loved it, the views are lovely, The Pod itself is beautiful and spacious and you have everything you need to have a great time. The Pod was surprisingly warm, the heating was on 14 degrees all weekend and we never felt the need to increase the temperature. ALL the power sockets have a USB A connections on them so leave the plugs at home, unless you are USB-C type! But there were some cables in the kitchen drawer if you do forget them!
The Bed is BIG & comfy! With great duvet sheets and throws and plenty of cushions and pillows. 2 big sliding drawers underneath to put all your clothes. There is a tall cupboard at the side of the sink that has a small rail with 4/5 coat hangers in to hang coats etc.
The bathroom is better than the one we have at home!!! (Home one is in need of an update though, but I prefer to go away at weekends than get it changed!!). Towels are included in your stay.
The kitchen has everything you need, 2 ring hob, 2 bread toaster, Kettle (hob), Fridge, and FREE range eggs off the roaming chickens on site.
There is a Firepit where you have to buy the logs on site, and this can be converted to a BBQ. We didnât use this but it came in handy as a stand for when I was using my Gas BBQ for breakfast/dinner.
Lovely grass area at the front of the pods and stone chipping paths leading to all pods with lighting that comes on with PIR sensors, but they do provide a torch for better lighting conditions outside.
There was also a welcome pack of some Milk, Crumpets and Jam & butter and also a bag of Wagg dog treats for our dog, which went down a treat.
The TV is App based but this was rarely used cause the weather was surprisingly nice for a change so we spent more time outside!
Thank you for a lovely stay Carole and Howard and we are certainly going to come...
Read moreI stayed at Damson View Glamping with my boyfriend for a week. It was a great location for exploring the Southern Lakes. The pods were a short drive from Bowness on Windermere and Kendal. Despite being near these popular attractions, the glamping site was private and very quiet. We enjoyed listening to the cows and sheep in the fields.
There are 5 pods and we stayed in Westview. I was struck by the cleanliness of the pod. It looked like it had never been used! The pod provided us with a comfy place for us to stay and we felt that we had plenty of space to relax. The milk and crumpets on arrival were a nice touch.
In particular, we enjoyed using the fire pit. You can collect a grill on-site free of charge and buy firewood or charcoal for a reasonable price. We used these to have a BBQ and roast marshmallows.
Carole and Howard were very hospitable and made us feel welcome. On arrival, we were met by Carole who showed us around the site. Once in the pod, we were provided with toiletries and towels. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash smelled lovely. They were full-sized which meant I did not have to use the products I had brought with me. We were then given fresh towels halfway through our stay.
Overall, we had a highly enjoyable stay and were extremely happy with the glamping pods. This was our first time visiting the Lakes and we will definitely go again. I would recommend Damson View Glamping to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful and relaxing stay.
We both thank Carole and Howard for a...
