I purchased a carbon Fleck whip ftom Discount Equestrian. I used the whip twice with no issues. On the third time using the whip it broke in my hand when riding (2 witnesses and had it on video). I contacted the store, who asked me to send photographs. I did and they said they would contact the manufacturer. This was 2 weeks after purchasing. They stated the company had said it must have been 'squeezed or crushed', and that it was a 'very delicate' whip. I was not satisfied with this convoluted response. Discount Equestrian said Fleck wanted the whip back for inspection. They sent a courier to pick it up, however it was their store address not for Fleck in Germany. I had to chase them up after this 3 times. The response I eventually got was that the damaged had been caused by 'excessive force by holding onto either end of the whip and bending it, standing on it or trapping it in a door'. 'Barbara' then stated I would not be entitle to a refund under the consumer rights act. The whip was unfit for purpose, and broke while riding. I had used it on 3 rides only within 2 weeks of purchase. I'm not sure what rides with a car door attached or who likes to grab it and bend it with 'excessive force' but this is what Discount Equestrian have tried to fob me off with. I contacted Fleck direct and they had received no parcel from Discount Equestrian for inspection. VERY unprofessional, liars, and completely non-compliant with the legal rights of the customer. Read moreI recently ordered a pair of boots and was told to expect delivery within 1 to 5 working days. After 5 working days i had receive nothing.. I tried to contact them and were told they would be here on Tuesday (the next day) and that they had left with UK Mail. At the end of the Wednesday i had received nothing so i sent i tried to contact them again and they said that UK Mail had some delays. On Thursday my boots were still not there so i phoned UK Mail directly and they told me that the store had been giving me wrong informations, they had never received my boots. I tried contacting the store again and they gave me the same excuses they had been giving me for day, "UK Mail has some delays and it will be delivered tomorrow". I did not fall for that excuse again so i phoned them multiples times and spent hours on the phone. I told them i would demand a full refund if my boots were not there on Friday. Strange things is that UK Mail did received my parcel on Friday.. If i hadn't spend hours on the phone they would have probably never sent my boots... and they had been lying this whole time when they were saying that my boots had been shipped! This store might have lower prices but it's certainly not a good deal... If you go online and look for opinion on this store you will see that i'm not the only one who had problem with this store.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Even one star is too...
Read moreI ordered a riding hat from them, including returns for different sizing, and while they keep 1 star for exchanging the hat when it didn't fit, they've lost all others for the constant chasing up I've had to do. They've never sent the tracking details for any of the orders like they say they do at shipping unless I asked, they sent the wrong size hat once and I had to chase them up with multiple emails to get a prepaid returns label, they never sent the correct sized hat after receiving the returned parcel until i messaged asking where it was, and now I asked for a credit to my account with the last return (as a refund to the card i used to purchase it would be a hassle as it's in a foreign currency): I put on the returns form a credit. I emailed saying I wanted a credit. What email did I just get? "Your refund is being processed." So now I've chased them up again to see if it's too late to stop the refund.
So unless you're ordering something you know for certain you're not going to want to return, avoid this company to save yourself loads...
