Right from the start the contact with Rob from Flavour and Wine has been excellent. The introductory email set out the options available clearly and gave us pricing options to choose from. Rob then worked with me to create a menu especially for our occasion which was a meal with friends while we were on holiday. On the evening itself the food was exceptional, great balanced flavours, you could tell the fish and seafood were fresh and it was lovely to feel the Thai influences from Robâs travels coming through the dishes. He also gave us plenty of tips about places to visit in the area and left the kitchen sparkling at the end. It was a special treat for me as I am a private dining chef myself and it was lovely to be served by someone else of a high standard who delivered exactly what we want, it meant we could really relax and have an enjoyable evening.    Read moreI worked with Rob to create a delicious canape menu and fantastic cheese cake tower to serve at my 40th birthday. 25 of us celebrated at a rented house in St Ives and Rob catered the whole event, even finding two really friendly and helpful bar staff to help keep the drinks flowing and food circulating all evening. He was super communicative, really flexible to meet our specific party needs, and I also thought the service overall and food were extemely good value. I would 100% reccomend Flavour & Wine f you're looking for a private function caterer.    Read moreIt was my birthday this week and we decided to do something special and asked Rob to cook for us. We had no idea what to expect never having booked a private chef before but I can honestly say it was amazing. Rob helped me to plan a five course tasting menu that would appeal to all our group which included those who eat out regularly to others who are meat and two veg people. The menu he came up with appealed to all and included local produce which was great. Rob talked us through each dish and was more than happy to answer all our questions but more to the point the dishes were mouth watering all of us loved them and we are still talking about them. I can thoroughly recommend Rob, so if you are thinking of hiring a private chef go for it you wonât regret hiring Rob, we hope to again next year...
