An attractive mixed woodland sitting on the hills above the Wye valley village of Mordiford. You could walk for miles as there are tracks of varying sizes criss crossing the woods. However, the wood was new to us, so on advice we parked in the car park about three quarters of a mile up the road on the hill leading out of Mordiford. From there there are two well sign posted circular "butterfly walks", a 1.5 mile and a 2 mile. We did both and they took you through various types of woodland, most of the time on wide well made tracks, with occasional views down into the valleys below.
