Hedgers Cider — Local services in Great Britain

So today a group (15) of us attended hedgers eagerly waiting for a couple of weeks finally being able to catch up have drinks and food… sadly as soon as we arrived was a shambles from the minute we got there. The 2 men in our group ordered steak (Tomahauk) not just once 3 times over the last 3 weeks reminding them of the steak!! On arrival we wer told no steak!!! I took my own steak whilst being charged 14 for them to cook my steak!!!! I ordered salad and chips with my food but no salad. Whilst asking the manager where my food was he called me a lair saying I hadn’t ordered my food, also there was no ice. Never again will I go back… absolutely awful customer service and rude. However my one star is for the dog...

45 minute wait for food (2 Ploughman's, for £29) after ordering at 1.30pm. "Fresh salad" was turning brown and my partner's looked inadequately washed. "Homemade roll" looked and tasted like a supermarket soft bap. The "proper pork pies" were half a mini pork pie. Better - and better value - Ploughman's are available nearby.

My partner mentioned the issues to a waitress and the presumed owner came out to apologise. Unprompted, she offered a refund and credit note on the condition that we returned. When I explained that we probably wouldn't be back, her manner became very unprofessional, and so I declined the refund altogether. Rating reduced...

Booked a table - when we arrived we were told it was not available - no apology . Told we could sit outside - we then waited 2 hours for our food !!! The food was served on what appeared to be a slate roof tile !- this was small so food falling off of plate, bread roll was Aldi quality - no side plate -no napkin - get your own knife and fork - find and get your own salt & pepper , if you can find it . There is rustic - but this is pushing it a bit too far. BTW - the ham was good It would appear that a 2 hour wait for service is...
