This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful cottage and we loved it just as much this time. The cottage is well stocked with everything you’ll need and the wonderful owners provided a thoughtful welcome pack of lovely treats for both humans and dogs. The area is perfect for walks and pub lunches, cafe stops and shopping. We visited Fountains Abbey ( National Trust) and also spent an afternoon at Aysgarth Falls which is lovely. On Sunday we did a riverside circular walk around Masham before having a delicious roast in the fabulous Black Sheep Brewery. There are so many nice places to eat and drink close by and we’d recommend Johnny Baghdad’s cafe, & Harry’s fish & Chips. It’s always so nice to return to the cottage after being out in the cold as it’s so comfortable and cosy, especially with the log burner fire up ! 🥰 Thanks again to the owners who have thought of everything to make guests comfortable !

What a treasure Hideaway Cottage is..luxury meets wholesome Yorkshire produce, attention to every detail and comfort in this beautifully presented oasis of calm. We breakfasted in the pretty cottage garden this morning after a dreamy night curled up on the sofa in front of the log fire. Bliss! Hosts Trudi and Mark have put so much thought into your stay. This is the place if you are looking for that extra special experience ..no need to look any further. Top marks from us! Thank you so much 🙂

We had a lovely stay at Hideaway. Mark and Trudi were very helpful with our last minute change of plans. The summerhouse is beautiful and we loved relaxing with a fire on. The dog had a ball too

What a hidden gem Hideaway Cottage is! On first entering the cottage on a cold afternoon we were impressed by the warm, cosy feel of the cottage and delighted to see the welcome treats that had been left for us … a bottle of wine, bread, biscuits, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk. The log burner was ready just to light and there was plenty of logs and coal for several fires. The cottage is so comfortable with everything you need to be super cosy. Nothing has been forgotten in creating a wonderful ‘get away from it all and relax’ holiday by Trudi and Mark. I can highly recommend this cottage as first class and am looking forward to returning in the summer months when we can enjoy spending time in the beautiful garden and fabulous summer house. Thanks so much Mark and Trudi…. you’ve created a real haven that many people will get much...

This is a fabulous cottage, presented to a very high standard and ideal for a cosy and comfortable get away. There are great walks, amazing country pubs and breweries on the doorstep and the hosts have been so helpful with recommendations.

The furnishings are beautiful, cotton bedding and lovely quality towels and toiletries with a delicious welcome pack of locally sourced goodies. We got a great supply of logs for the wood burning fires too. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

We were up from London for the weekend and it was so easy to get to; convenient parking if you’re driving up. Northallerton train station is close too. WiFi is great…had no problem logging on and working…which I did in the cosy separate summer house.

We’ll definitely be back…a welcomed weekend break...
