Booked into one of the small pods for a night to try it out. What a brilliant experience! ||The view outside your front door over the Duddon estuary and mountains of the SW Lake District Hills is superb. Ideal for your early morning coffee or your sunset beer. ||Loved the chickens and the goats (you can even buy food for them at the honesty shop). ||You have your own private WC and shower, which is very clean and to a good standard, with a communal washing up area outside. ||There is a little honesty shop for emergency essentials and treats. This has a refrigerator cabinet with an area for campers to store their own things.||The pod type I was in has a futon, TV, kettle and toaster which were ideal for me. The larger pods are even better equipped (see website). All pods have a picnic table and fire pit outside and are well-spaced for a sense of privacy. ||The only suggestion I would make is for a little side table or shelf by the futon to put your bits and bobs on. ||It's only a five minute drive to Dalton with its shops and takeaways (some of which deliver to the site - see the information folder). ||There's also a very good pub ten minutes walk on foot (though be aware, it's a steep-ish walk back to the site: Take care on the road and bring a torch just in case!). ||Will definitely...

Best pod we have ever stayed in! ( and we have stayed in quite a few!)

The facilities in the pods was just above and beyond the pods we have previously stayed in and for very little difference in cost! The running water, the kettle, mini fridge and microwave made the camping experience so much more enjoyable, especially when staying with 2 young children. The fact that we had our own personal shower and toilet room was also such a luxury. There was no pressure to be in and out quickly, like in a shared block, and it provided a place to leave toiletries and towels, freeing up space in the pod. Such a great idea!

The views were out of this world - we were very lucky to get a week of sunny weather meaning we got to see four gorgeous sunsets over the sea.

In addition to all of this, our girls just loved the goats and chickens roaming about the place. The baby goats were so entertaining and they loved feeding them. They were actually quote sad to leave them on the Friday when we left!

Farmer Phil was also very friendly and happy to help where he could. The cleanliness of the place was super too :)

We will be...

Book my holiday early this year, I hade a few issues when booking. But they were very helpful in sorting me out.|Got to the site and instantly feel in love with it. The pod we had booked was the Bird which gives you a kettle, toaster, TV and a futon to sit and sleep on. Also your own private shower room. ||The pod was extremely clean, not a spot of dust anywhere. The same with the shower room. There is a washing up station for the smaller pods to use. There is an honesty shop with all the basic stuff you would need. You have your own fure pit. Your own outside seating area with your own picnic table. They have friendy chicken and goats.||There is an amazing view from the site looking across an estuary and sea, on to hills and mountains. ||I can highly recommend this site and are looking to go back...

It's been our second time here and we absolutely love it. We've stayed here and combined it in for going to the zoo. Location up on the hill is beautiful, with lush views and it's just so peaceful. The pods themselves are fab (we stayed in HardKnot- so it has the ensuite) and it's such good value for money. My daughter loved the goats and chickens, the big open space to play frisbee and bat and ball. Phils honesty shop is such a good little idea, and he thinks of everything that you might need or you might have forgot! Would 100% recommend, it's the perfect little peaceful get-away. Well done Phil on achieving what you have with the place, I hope your business continues to grow ❤️

We recently stayed at High Haume for a family break. We stayed for a total of 11 nights, 5 nights in the Birds pod and 6 nights in the brand new Orchard pod. The private shower and toilet facilities for the birds pod are a great idea as you can leave your toiletries and towels in there for the duration of your holiday. If you want a more luxury stay, the brand new Orchard and Forest pods are fantastic which include your own shower, toilet and kitchen within your pod! Everything about this place has been carefully thought about and catered for! Phil and Sarah were fantastic hosts and really looked after us over our stay. We have already booked again to go back!

Lovely place with even better views! Wasn't sure what to expect, not much is provided so be sure to take your own bedding, plates, cups etc unless you purchase in advance to borrow. The honesty shop was a nice little touch and provided things you might have forgotten or wanted. Sitting out with the firepit was lovely especially with the views, just a shame about the wind so I would recommend taking a wind breaker just in case. The pods are very cosy and it was worth paying the extra to have ensuite and more space. Fed the goats and chickens and was surrounded by sheeps, lambs and cows. Last thing to top it off was the amazing view of the sunset.
