Lovely independent cinema and good prices. Major downside is that they don't admit children under three. As a family with two children (4 years and 2 months), this is frustrating and frankly insulting.

Today was my daughter's 4th birthday and she wanted to watch Paddington with her whole family. I unfortunately was not allowed in as I have an infant. So could not attend part of her birthday celebration.

It is frustrating as no parent wants to upset other cinema goers with a screaming child so would therefore assess the situation accordingly. It is frankly insulting that they feel that parents would be unable to manage, or would not be aware of the child's capabilities to watch a film and/or have contingencies in place if they struggled part way through.

So as a result of this rule we now won't be able to come to your cinema for the next three years despite it being only 10minutes away. We will have to reluctantly have to visit one of the bigger chain cinemas further away, as they will accommodate and trust parents of...

Delighted that this cinema re-opened after being closed for several years (for some reason, google refuses to let me delete an entry from several years ago; please ignore it). Since my first comments, the Rebel has been refurbished and now has a much improved sound system. It's also now been enlarged so it has two good-size screens, both with good quality, comfy seats. Plenty of legroom, too, so you're not crammed in. Good selection of refreshments; ice creams, popcorn, coffees (no hotdogs, however) and clean toilet facilities. Shows a variety of mainstream movies on general release, when they are new - not months later. Uses clever timetabling so that there's a good selection of films throughout the week. Recommend prebooking at busy times, esp in holidays as it can get very busy. The car park has also been enlarged with extra spaces around the back - we rarely have any trouble finding a space these days. It's a 10 minute drive away from Bude town centre - wonderful to have a local, independent cinema...

This cinema is simply amazing. The staff were ever so friendly. In fact, a lot more friendly than the type of staff you get at big chain cinemas. They offer a wide range of food and beverages from the counter at very reasonable prices. The tickets were cheap too. We got inside screen 2 and WOW. How cute is this place!!!!! Plenty of leg room, comfy chairs, very good surround sound system. I have been coming to Cornwall for the past 4+ years and always drove past this place but never went in until last night. The Lion King was a good film to watch here and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Thanks for making date night so enjoyable and fun. P.s love Purdy the dog, she is so cute! 10/10

What a little gem if a find, little cinema a few minutes away from our cottage. Brought me back to my childhood visiting the cinema and am so glad I could take my kids there. Small lobby with a large selection of tasty treats. The bacon chips are a must šŸ˜‹ šŸ‘Œ and the popcorn is fresh. Drinks are normal prices, and hot drinks are available. The start of the film was a little wobbly, but they soon sorted it out, and the film was great in 3D. The cinema was clean and the seats were comfortable. My kids loved it, and so did I well worth the visit and will return next time I am in the area šŸ˜€

First thoughts upon arrival (on a cold december night) were eyebrows raised - with kids looking at me. Turned out to be a real nice charming cinema. Everone enjoyed it. Very loud movie experience, snacks and drinks priced how they should be. Great night out and the staff were nice and friendly. Sense of a throwback to an 80s cinema experience Would definitely go again. I would certainly choose this over the big named venues, Great value, recommended.
