I love the layout of the course and the mix of long and short par fours. Probably played the course around 20 times and never played on good greens but the really annoying thing is the attitude of the pro staff. Being a cobra outlet I enquired about a new shaft for my driving iron and was told to try ebay even though I was willing to wait and pay full price from Cobra via Rutland Water...they couldn't be bothered. This time we called to check all holes were on normal greens to be told they were. We turned up to play to find the twelfth closed. Had we been told this beforehand we would have played elsewhere. They then charged £28;..full price for the round with no reduction for one less hole and the poor condition of the greens and course. No wonder they were the only course in the area with tee...
