Absolutely perfect stay and holiday destination, I truly recommend couples book apartment 1 as we will be planning to book for a second time. Here is my review on the facilities this lodge has to offer.

Hot tub: 10/10 absolutely perfect, amazing temperatures and adjustable jets/LED’s to suit preferences. (Disclaimer: ensure to put the hot tub cover back on properly as it is consistently left on so it can reheat to maximum of 40 degrees) as this happened to us for 1 night of our stay.

Privacy: 7/10 pretty good, you are located in a private area with only three other lodges beside you (they currently have more being constructed). since we stayed at the first lodge there were people consistently passing in and out during our stay and there were often children playing on our patio which didn’t feel as private.

Location: 10/10 for us being away in a private area was a massive factor of this holiday as we wanted peace and quiet, the view from the hot tub and the lodge at night or dawn was beautiful and felt unreal. Also, the interaction with the goats and chickens were perfect and friendly, they always ran towards the end of the gate when we went out onto the patio or the hot tub which was another nice factor to add to the experience. There are also shops nearby which are a 4 minute drive away such as Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Poundland etc which were easily accessible from the lodge. Additionally, a wide variety of fast food places such as dominos, kebab shops, fish and chip shops and a pub and carvery was easily accessible.

The Lodge itself: 9/10 Although the aquarium wasn’t a considered a reason to book this lodge it definitely added a lot of homeliness and comfort. The lounge area wasn’t used a lot for us as we mostly spent the days touring wales, but when we did come to chill it was very relaxing and comfortable. Personally, I thought the TVs were quite small but it still didn’t fail to let us enjoy watching films at night. Netflix is on both in the lounge and the bedroom TVs which was a good source for films and series. As for the kitchen, if your a couple that is on a budget so you prefer to cook within the lodge you are limited to a microwave, a kettle and an air fryer. Personally with us not being great chefs it was a struggle to make specific dishes without a stove. Not to mention you also have a BBQ station outside if you wish to bring your own packable one. The bathroom however, was perfect with a very powerful, modern large shower with adjustable temperature was perfect for us, this could be easily accessible for a wheelchair user too. Moving onto the bedroom 10/10, the bed was the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, the size of the bed was a super king which was way more than what we ever expected. Finally, the included breakfast was amazing as it offered a range of different food options that we were both pleased with.

Overall this stay was a 10/10 for us and I truly recommend booking as it is a nice getaway if you want something more luxurious...

The stay in general was lovely, the bed was super big and comfy, everything was clean, hot tub was nice and the goats and chickens were friendly, however there was a few small things that were unpleasant. Upon arrival there was nobody around other than a man working on the roof next door, he ended up ringing someone for a code to the door and letting us in, we found it quite unprofessional there was not a host to greet us or even a message, as well as this, upon leaving i thanked them and made the host aware of a small issue we ran into and that went ignored. The man who was working next door and did sort us out however was lovely! As soon as we arrived the fish tank was not on, we asked the same man who let us in and he managed to get some light into the tank so we could see, the following day it went off again and the issue was resolved after a message to the host but then it went off again so we ended up only being able to see the tank for half of our visit which was disappointing due to that being what made us choose this apartment out of the 3. When reading other reviews in the guest book and photos online a lot of them mentioned being left some bits for breakfasts during their stay and we were left 2 croissants, again disappointing when other images show a range of items being left. Images also show 2 bar stools in the kitchen, there was only one when we were there. There was a few things broken around the apartment like the wardrobe railing and headboard in the bedroom, but more notably the air fryer did not shut all the way which we found made cooking (no oven/hob) to take forever and the front door was loose making it difficult to shut, we understand that can’t always be helped but it would’ve been nice to know? Overall we did end up having a lovely time here and I think the idea of the place is unique and could be very well executed but still must note we did leave...

A perfect Getaway: Exceptional apartment and unforgettable holiday!

Stayed for 3 nights.

We were delighted to be greeted by the friendly goats and chickens upon arrival. The view was stunning, especially from the hot tub. The apartment was immaculate and smelled wonderful. For our wedding anniversary, the host kindly provided a beautiful anniversary package. The host personally welcomed us and wished us a pleasant stay, leaving us a breakfast spread that included a loaf of bread, jam, butter, milk, fresh eggs from the hens, small boxes of cereal, pain au chocolat, and crepes. The apartment was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and sugar, along with a kettle, fridge with a small freezer section, microwave, toaster, and an air fryer, which allowed us to prepare our own meals. The available dishes and cutlery were a great convenience. We enjoyed all our meals outside, taking in the lovely sea and livestock views.

The bedroom was spotless, and the bedding smelled fantastic. It featured an air conditioning unit, a nice clothes rack with hangers, and a very comfortable bed. The highlight was the skylight, adorned with remote-controlled lights. The hot tub was perfect for relaxation and was the main attraction of the apartment. The bathroom, located downstairs, was clean and spacious. It was conveniently situated for showering right after using the hot tub without wetting the apartment. There was also a curtain for added privacy while enjoying the hot tub. Overall, everything was perfect, and we highly recommend this apartment for its privacy and excellent amenities.
