This was a special family occasion involving elderly parents and a family dog required a celebratory dinner for 9 in Keswick at our rental house. There was no better way to organise such an event to fit into our timetable and requirements than to bring the chef to us. Shaun was the perfect choice, with a lovely personality that added to the atmosphere as we interacted with him in the open plan kitchen as he cooked and served the food whilst we concentrated on the eating and drinking! The food was amazing, tasty and super quality even down to the dips, drizzles and breads which he sourced. We also served some very high end wines which we would never have bought at restaurants prices as well as our own eclectic music playlist. The final menu choices which involved some quite late changes, including using my peppers, were swiftly and calmly dealt with. The only thingy we had to do was to set up the table and decorations ourselves at the beginning and load up our glassware and cutlery in our dishwasher at the end, he took away all the plates and tidied up the food and prep. We booked Shaun for a private dining experience for 24 of us at a family getaway in the Lakes. We chose Shaun based on reviews we had read. He listened to our requirements and came up with suggestions for a 3 course meal and was flexible enough to tweak this to accommodate everyone's tastes. On the day he arrived promptly and started his prep. We didn't need to do anything. The aromas coming from the kitchen throughout the day were fantastic and we couldn't wait to sit down to eat. We we're not disappointed. The dining room went from being very noisy to extremely quiet as everyone tucked in to 3 delicious courses of pork belly, slow cooked lamb and chocolate fondant ( very ooozy !!). Lots of clean plates and compliments highlighted how good the food was.The service was first class from start to finish. Shaun just gets on with things in the background and let's you get on with enjoying the evening. He brings all his own crockery so no washing up to do apart from lot's of empty wine glasses. I arranged a surprise 30th birthday celebration for my partner in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and wanted to make the evening extra special. After finding Shaun online and doing some research, I was blown away by how incredible his food looked.

From the very start, Shaun was fantastic helping us craft the perfect menu for our group of 14 while accommodating various dietary requirements. His communication and professionalism throughout the process made everything effortless.

On the evening of the celebration, Shaun arrived promptly and immediately got to work. Despite never having cooked in that particular kitchen before, he moved around with ease, as if he’d worked there for years. Every ingredient he used was fresh and locally sourced, and he took the time to explain each course as it was served.

The portions were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavor. The entire experience was flawless, and our guests were beyond impressed.
