Windermere Lake Cruises — Local services in Great Britain

When done with the lakeside Haverthwaite train it makes a lovely day out and probably worth the ticket price. Solid old fashioned cruise boats, (can go on two different boats depending on times you leave) provide a great view of Lake Windermere. There is some commentary to advise you of key sites without being intrusive. We went in June when it should have been hot, bit it was about 14c and with the wind felt about 4c. There are places you can sit out of the wind, but if you want to see the lake in all it's glory, I'd wrap up well, if it's not hot outside. You get to see all sorts of activities going on the lake and some nice boats. Food and drink is served on board not we didn't try...
