I walked on a June Friday afternoon and by the time I reached the summit there was not a soul to be seen even though we were having amazing weather. The stone cairns were impressive. The view point was a welcome addition. Apart from the initial road section at the beginning it wasn't a particularly hard climb if you are fit. It's well signposted and a good track to the summit. Parking can be found in Kirkby Stephen or on the road towards the quarry, there are a couple of spots just before you head onto the Moors but it's quite tight near a farmers entrance.
