Spent a night camping there around a mile from Winter's Gibbet. The trees are really thick and many have blown down in storms which makes access difficult.
Obviously these trees are cut down for wood and it was the first time I've seen a huge area felled. It was pretty horrific and spooky.
I reckon the forest would be great for a Sunday walk but I'll not bother camping...
