Steep walk but lovely view. Family walk to Lantern Pike was glorious. It is a steep walk but the views at the top are most worth it. A few narrow paths made the social distancing awkward but doable. Finally, avoid the middle of the day heat as it can get very warm!

Outdoor NT volunteer ranger I go to Lantern Pike to check it out, clear away any litter. Amazing views & possible to do a loop walk over the hill back to Hayfield or alternatively turn left towards Rowath...

I've managed to hike Lantern pike two birthdays in a row! Lived local most of my life yet never knew it was here until about 3 years ago. Now it's a regular walk. Though a strenuous one!

Been past thousands of times never been in. Wish I could still say the same. Not bad decor. Awful music deafening and for £14.50 the Chilli con Carne was grim. Soggy in fat oven chips, homemade garlic bread must have been a floated in the chip pan and the chilli was tasteless mince and onions. We sat next to the log fire but it was still...
