This place is absolutely fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble. I began my journey with Diesel at Gone to the Dogs puppy classes with Robin in Ballyclare. This led me to the Pets at the Howlin pet shop in Ballyrobert, where I bought their liver cake to help with Diesel’s training. I noticed they stocked a variety of foods, including raw food, which I wanted to feed Diesel but didn’t know much about. Diane in the shop was incredibly helpful and continues to support me with all my questions, even six months later. I started sending Diesel to their weekday daycare, which has been great for his socialisation with other dogs. He comes home absolutely knackered, which is hard to achieve with a young pup. Mark and Aaliyah are fantastic with Diesel and all the other dogs, and nothing is ever a bother to them. It speaks volumes that when I open the car door in the mornings, Diesel runs straight to the daycare, knowing exactly where he wants to go. He is loved by everyone there. When I pick him up, he doesn’t really want to leave, but he’s so tired that he just goes with the flow. I spoke with Donna in the shop about some training issues I was having with Diesel, such as loose lead walking, jumping up, and recall. She offered me a five-week training package consisting of three 30-minute sessions per week and it has been the best money I have ever spent and a really great value for the results achieved. By the end of the first week, Diesel was already a different dog on walks, and by the end of the five weeks, he was perfect for a seven-month-old Labrador. If you need help, I highly recommend this option. You won’t regret it and will feel like you’ve gotten more than your money’s worth. To summarise my experience so far, this place is amazing—a one-stop shop. A local pet shop, daycare, dog walking, and training all at the one location. They also offer a helpful pick up and drop off service too. Diesel is literally now part of their furniture. There’s a good chance you will meet him at the shop chilling with a stolen treat from the bottom shelf from 12 every day as Donna tells me he is her shadow when around. A big thank you to the Gone to the Dogs/Pets at the Howlin family. Donna, Mark, Aaliyah, Diane, Anne and Robin. In the 6 months I’ve been coming I’ve noticed it grow and I wish you all the best for the continued growth.

Fabulous place, says Cricket, our dog, as we park the car & open the boot to let her out. Wagging her tail vigorously as she dashes towards the door, we do realise that whoever is behind the counter doesn’t stand a chance. Cricket knows where the treats are kept and goes straight there. Donna & Diane are both great with her as they are with all the dogs that visit. What a pet shop !!! You will find it has everything you could possibly need or want. Also the best place to go if you need any advice on your pet—very knowledgeable ladies ! We certainly would never go anywhere else except maybe the sister shops—Pets at the Port and Pets at...

I am taking my rescue Siberia. Husky to Donna for socialisation classes. Best thing I have done as she realized straight away something wrong possibly arthritis. Took him to are vet straight away and was right and is on medication. The improvement in him was brill but would never have known without Donna. He. Is doing really well with her and coming on leaps and bounds with other dogs. I secretly think he is in love with her and I would really recommend...
