Great walking up over the top, along the Offas Dyke footpath. Grand views all around from Trig Point, can see the Brecons in the south and start of Snowdonia in northwest, with the Cambrian mountains across to the west. Sat for a while watching the wild ponies grazing close by. Lovely morning walk up from Gladestry.

Beautiful walk we did 2 hours of the old race course and visited the rocks which symbolises the top of the ridge. Lovely seeing all the wildlife but didn't see any ponies unfortunatly. Highly recommend there are loads of paths through you can follow any. Free to park

We parked in Gladestry, certainly a long upwards climb up, but once recovered such an amazing, beautiful place to walk. Next time, I'll try Kington end to ascend from.

It's one of those places that you don't just visit... you kinda feel in your soul, maybe as I knew the album named after this magical place, by Mike Oldfield first? A truly haunting masterpiece... I really should have visited here more, especially as I could see the hill from where I spent much time in 2nd half of the 90s. I understand the big house Mike lived at has mostly been knocked down. The album... it was released 16months after Tubular Bells, and after 3 wks No.1 it was knocked off the top by TB finally reaching No.1! OK, it's been many years since I was there... But it should be the same, that being, you can drive most of the way...

Great place to visit. Amazing views and a great place to explore via walking, running or cycling. All pretty level ground where we walked too, with good paths and clear signage.

Check your parking, as we followed Google maps which led us to a farm, which had 'no parking' signs on the verge next...
