Beautiful hike starting from Pistyll rhaeadr car park, making your way up towards Moel Sych 827metres and then on to Cadair Berwyn 832metres. The views only get better the higher you climb. Quite steep to begin with, but levels out somewhat ontop. Once reaching the summit you can back track 200yards and come back down the side of Cadair Berwyn towards the reservoir, continuing back through the base of the valley towards Pistyll waterfall. Terrain, can be boggy near the summit and through the valley. Enjoy this spectacular hike with 360 views of snowdonia.

Started at Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall where there's a car park for £5 all day and a cute little cafe and toilets 40p. Quite a steep hike up but the views are beautiful. Very enjoyable hike. I can imagine it to be quite boggy if it's been raining. Nice big stone shelter at the top perfect for a sandwich and cuppa before heading back down.

Amazing views from the top! The walk is beautiful, but very long and quite steep in places. There are barely any signposts, so it's worth printing out instructions or a map.

It is quite an arduous hike up to the summit although it is well within reach of the vast majority of people. There are stunning views of all of snowdonia, including Snowdon on a clear day from side, and Shropshire from another. There is a small open-topped shelter...
