When there is a flat calm and the water is as smooth as glass, the reflection of the surrounding countryside on the surface of the lake is breathtaking. It's a shame about the village that was flooded to create this fine reservoir to provide Liverpool with water. But there you go it's history now and not worth holding a grudge about.

It's a really nice experience, visually, and the walk along the damn is easy but pleasant. It's worth coming to visit and learning about what happened to the village and the people here, though. It's a dark story, but one that's important to remember. Cofiwch Dryweryn.
