Pretty beach with a free car park. The are public toilets but on the occasions that I visited they were closed. A stream runs adjacent to the road and car park so it is very picturesque. The easiest way to access the beach, which in the main is stoney, rocky and made up of pebbles, is to enter the pedestrian gate opposite the car park, walk across the field, cross the small bridge and then walk a short distance to the right and then drop down towards the beach, over the stile and then down onto the beach. At low tide it's possible to cross the pebbles, over the rocks to the sandy beach. Walking directly towards the beach from the car park, on the nearside of the stream, makes for a slippy and very tricky walk across the rocks and then across the stream itself; a crossing of about 15' to 20' which in March was very cold. Level 9 Google reviewer; 950 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 45 million views and still going strong πŸ’ͺ. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. They're inconsistent. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Beautiful beach to visit

Had never been before..don't know why it's near other popular places.(ie Bude). It's a small but beautiful place and very peaceful. The SW trail passes rite thru. If your hiking it's quite steep in places but the views are spectacular. There is a sandy part after crossing some rocks and a long beech suitable for kids n surfers. There are no lifeguards however. I wouldn't classify it as wheelchair friendly. There is toilet facilities and free parking. It's not as big as alot of places we've been but what it has is peace n quiet. Bring your own drinks n food as there are no restaurants ect. We went on a sunny day and tide was out..not sure about dogs but we had some friendly muts come over for a stroke n say hello. It's a narrow road off the A39 but not too bad as there are passing spots. For a pint and some local food we recommend the Westcountry Inn on the A39 near to the turning for this quiet beech. For those who enjoy a quiet day with beautiful scenery and little facilities we recommend this area.

Beautiful hidden bay. There's very narrow lanes driving down to it, but well worth it. My only suggestion for anyone who visits is not to sit at the foot of the cliff rocks. Yes, it can provide shade or shelter from the wind, but it's not worth a rockfall to the head. Upon my visit, there was a sheep that had found its way down a little way on the cliff top. As it turned back, it sent rocks falling to the beach below. Luckily, they seemed small, and there weren't any bystanders near enough to be in harms way. The same suggestion would be if you were walking/hiking along these cliffs, don't copy...
