It's a country park however not a fishery as some people say. Although it's good fishing most days. Again some people believe it's the peg you're at or the time of day or bait you use. Personally fishing in my experience is down to 90% luck 10% skill.
Can be noisy at times, lots of walkers, bike riders, & motors as well. Be prepared to be asked have you caught anything yet 😄 multiple times.
Very reasonable prices for anglers.

Read moreVisited here for the Saturday morning 9am parkrun. This is a really great venue, the carpark was full, but there is ample street parking just a few hundred yards up the road. This is a well organised event with really friendly marshalls. It's a single lap which is mainly on paths, small bit through a wood on bark, but road shoes were fine. The first 3/4 is mostly up hill, but gradual, then a great downhill section to the finish line. Good views from the top, but I imagine would be a little exposed in the winter or mid summer.
