Really enjoyed taking the pup for a walk here. Found a brilliant ants nest ... boy were they busy! Met some very friendly people walking their dogs too. Various walks you can go.on. There's also a Red Squirrel Hide with interesting facts and information. Only two little gripes, could do with a few more seats on the long paths, not just to have a rest but to be able to sit and relax whilst listening to the birds and breathing in the forest scent. Other gripe is dog owners/walkers not picking up their dogs poo. Wouldn't mind but there are dog poo bins at the car park.

I visit most days to walk my dog. It is a beautiful forest. You might get to see the red squirrels if you are lucky. There is a large carpark and there are easy tracks to walk and for those more adventurous there are plenty of off the main route tracks. There is a purpose built squirrel hide that is well signposted from the main carpark where you will find the information board. This forest is full of flora and fauna and has something to offer all year round. There are no toilets here.

Some quiet walks away from the posted trails, and a real wildlife oasis if you keep your eyes peeled. There are red squirrels, nightjars, dormice, and some of UK's rarest bats to name just a few. Easy to get lost though, so keep your phone and map app handy! Also, try the paths just outside the forest too for stunning Solent views from the north edge of the forest.
