Fantastic place to walk the dog. Access is via a field gate with a rutted track leading to a grassed area car park. In peak season, it is usually managed and costs £3 entrance fee. From the bottom of the car park, there is a footpath which comprises of a quite steep shale covered track for about 400yds. This part is quite demanding and probably not suitable for the elderly/ vulnerable. At the bottom of this track, the path winds through some trees for around 5 mins until you reach the beach. There are no toilets and no vendors at the beach, but there is a farmhouse on the top road where you turn off that serves delicious cream tea's.

Visited for the first time today & it’s just a beautiful beach, car park is in a field at the top with a short walk down. Only issue is there is quite a steep rocky & uneven pathway down not suitable for those with wheelchairs or walking aids. But I’m sure there is another way to get to the beach from around the other end. It’s a nice family oriented beach, ideal for picnics, friends & our pooches as it’s an Off-Lead beach. Glad we found it. Recommended 10/10

When the tide is out wow! What an expanse of sand. Magnificent, especially out of season. Dogs had a field day and you can walk from Padstow on the coastal path, nip on to the beach quick ealry on and walk for the best part of a mile on the beach before popping up and off at the old life guard launch and rejoin the coastal path on your way up to look out point. Beautiful!

Massive beach.... there is a car park in a field with a short walk down to the beach through the woods. There is always plenty of space in the carpark and on the beach. When the tides in you can wade out quite a way as it's a nice flat area so great for kids. But watch the tide when it first starts coming in as it comes in from 2 directions so don't get caught out otherwise all your belongings will...
