Discovery Seal Trips — Local services in Rochford

We had such a great time with Discovery Seal Trips. From the moment we got on the boat, Salina and the skipper made us feel really welcome and looked after.

We saw loads of seals, and both Salina and the skipper clearly know a lot about them and the area. They shared loads of interesting info in a really relaxed, easy way that kept both the adults and kids engaged.

They were fantastic with my children. When their legs got cold, they offered them blankets, and they even let them have a go at driving the boat, which they absolutely loved. Salina also made sure everyone knew how to stay safe and you could tell they genuinely cared.

Our group had ages ranging from 5 to 66, and every single person had a great time. If you're thinking about booking, just do it. You won't regret it.

Had a lovely time on our Seal watching trip Saturday morning. The boats depart from Wallasea Island in Rochford. There is plenty of parking available at a reasonable price. The boat used for the tour was very clean and spacious, with all the latest safety equipment on board. The crew provide a full safety briefing before you set off and are only too happy to answer questions during the trip. It was lovely to see the Seals in their natural habitat and my little ones really enjoyed it. Even though we were lucky to have a nice, warm, sunny morning, I would still advise you wrap up warm as the wind once out on the water, is very chilly (although blankets are provided onboard.) We just got back from discovery seals - salina is fantastic so down to earth a truly lovely person as is her husband Gary, gary went the extra mile to see so many seals we must of seen 50/60 easily - we got so close but without encroaching on the seals habitat! The boat was safe, comfortable and secure. so reasonable and worth every penny! Didn’t want the trip too end - the trip was at least 2.5hrs long The kids even got to drive the boat and all recieved a certificate - which is just excellent!
