Great hike from the pier, approximately 5 miles all in. There is a footpath, though it does get slightly difficult to follow at times and can get quite boggy, but that adds to the fun and the view in the end is well worth it!

A bit tricky to find a proper path up and even worse down. But you will forget all those troubles when you ate on the very top enjoying view. We were lucky with weather, so trip was unforgettable. Its different now, when you look up from a ferry and see the strange shape. It is not strange for me anymore. Love it and every time I see it, In my min$ I am up there watching the see....

Camped on the island many years ago, great place for exploring, there was a phone box opposite the one and only shop I think the number was Eigg 1, as for the Sgurr great views we went the easy way up, a visit to the whispering sands is a must.I hope it hasn't...
