Just had two nights at the Fox's Lair

Pros Nearby to Aberfoyle and Callendar Can get an Indian takeaway delivered! Lovely and cosy looking with the fairy lights, candles and fire The bedroom had hot air which was great All equipped with tea, coffee, cutlery, pots and pans etc The complimentary bottle of prosecco was a nice touch Electricity free so you can completely switch off from phones etc Nearby Go Ape Lovely nature walks nearby too The experience of camping but warmer and can grab a shower! Dressing gowns provided

Cons The inside bed is so short. If you're tall you aren't going to be able to fit in it. My 6ft 3 partner ended up having to sleep on the couch outside as he physically couldn't lie down on it due to being so short. I'm 5ft 5 and very petite but even I was struggling. We didn't sleep very well as a result.

It's not as secluded as you're led to believe. The noise of the traffic is really loud and you can hear and see your neighbours who weren't even being loud.

It would've been better if the bath was bigger for two people instead of both squeezing in it, as that's the whole concept of being a romantic getaway

The compostable toilet is a bit stinky but that's to be expected

If you enjoy camping and escaping from social media for a few days you will enjoy this place. We would definitely go back if we could bring a camp bed for my tall...

What a magical, special place to us. This is our second stay at the Dreamcatcher’s cabins and again, we loved every minute of the experience.

If you are someone that struggles with the hectic, busyness of your everyday life, then this place will be perfect for you.

My partner and I run our own business and have a one year old so we rarely get to switch off. When we stumbled upon this place on Instagram it couldn’t have came at a better time.

Having barely any phone signal and being cooped up in a cabin in the woods is exactly what we needed. You have everything you will need to enjoy a weekend break. Each time we come we reconnect as a couple, enjoying good chat, board games, outdoor bath and spending time listening to all the beautiful surrounding wildlife.

All your worries leave instantly! All you need to worry about is who’s shot is it to go fetch more firewood haha!

The owners are wonderful people and have done an amazing job at making this place so special. We will definitely be back - I think this is our new favourite spot...

Dreamcatcher Cabins are just wonderful! We loved our two night stay and it was exactly what we’d hoped it would be - chilled, cosy, full of nature (the robins ain’t on their first rodeo and know exactly what they are doing), rustic yet luxurious, and just fabulous. We had coveted these cabins since their opening, and never quite got around to going. Yes, they’re on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Complete trust and seclusion, a beautifully built cabin in the woods with everything you need (as much firewood as you like, a bottle of fizz, more candles than you could ever need, heating in the bedroom and cards and games hidden under the bed), hosts that don’t bother you unless you need them, and an incredible bath in the trees and nature with a glass of bubbly by your side. Trust me, it’s worth every penny and more. Dreamcatcher Cabins are simply magic. Thank you very much. I turned 50 here and couldn’t think of anywhere...

Our stay at the Dreamcatcher Cabin was absolutely magical! We went for a romantic weekend away and couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. The outdoor but private bath was a highlight, offering a blissful soak surrounded by nature. Afterward, sitting next to the wood burner was incredibly relaxing, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. There are a few places nearby that deliver takeaway, and some fantastic restaurants to explore if you're up for a short drive. It's the perfect spot if you want to switch off and spend quality time together in a serene, eco-friendly environment. If you're looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway, the Dreamcatcher Cabin is a fantastic choice. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend it. #DreamcatcherCabin #RomanticGetaway #EcoFriendly #RelaxingRetreat #NatureEscape #CouplesWeekend #CozyVibes #OutdoorBath #WoodBurner #UnplugAndUnwind

We loved our stay in The Badgers Sett at Dreamcatchers Cabin. The cabin itself is so cute and cosy, and the woodland around it is filled with birds and red squirrels that you can watch while you relax in the bath or by the fire. I loved arriving and looking out for the path to our cabin - like a magical adventure! The owners are so helpful and I loved that we could help ourselves to as much firewood as we needed. The welcome bottle of fizz and bath bomb was a lovely touch, and they have everything you need for a self catered stay. Aberfoyle is really close by and I loved it there too. The cabins were a little closer together than I'd imagined, so we could hear the other residents at various points, and its right off an A-road, so there was traffic noise throughout out stay. But even with these negatives, it was still a 5 star stay and excellent value for money. Just book it!

The most magical, romantic location you could ever hope to find... There is a reason that couples keep coming back here! For us, we happened to find this gem by chance early in our relationship and visited on our first ever holiday together - we then returned on our honeymoon! It is the perfect spot - private, secluded and quiet for "us" time, and yet you are only a short walk in either direction from two small villages with beautiful pubs/restaurants. We particularly adore the gorgeous walk to Aberfoyle where we have dinner together before strolling home again. The cabins are really comfortable and if it's your first time being "off grid", this is an excellent choice as they combine enough "rustic" with the home comforts of hot water and heating. An absolutely wonderful and refreshing stay!
