Too many people with badly behaved dogs off the lead. One of the swans at Perchy Pond was killed by an uncontrolled dog. I have been jumped up on, and muddied regularly. NLC do not make any effort to police those irresponsible and selfish dog owners.
As for wildlife, you’ll occasionally see roe deer and the odd buzzard. That’s all. There’s little or no birdsong,, because there are so few birds living there.

Lots of routes to take and can go off beaten track. Wear wellies if going off the pathways as quite boggy in places and wear warm clothing as is very open.
