Wel as a group from n Ireland Ledyatt was a place on Bigfishhunterz 2019 to do list this year ... so we set sail Fri to fish it on Saturday morning .... It's was really a special trip away to us guys as one the lads in our group ended our trip in style by jumping into lake as he promised us he wud the whole lead up to it ... he landed his 1st mega at ledyatt ... we can't thank David and Paul enough for the days experience... and we can gladly say ATM we're working on returning again ...in 2024 for possibly some winter fishing .. Il promise use this is definitely a lake to go to for a good experience on different and bigger fish ... We actually haven't stopped talking about this place and when we were there we left are stamped tankard for the lads to as we do sponsor alot event back home ... From we stepped onto the lake we knew condition s were going to be tough and we had to work so hard to get fish . But myself , big Phil , and Marty all got are fish ...big Phil landing the biggest. Phil got his fish on a pink blob . I got my fish on a black-green to a black flashed lure with a gold head . martin I think not sure but possibly cuda bn a blob as well . We had phils father with us he is 74 and I must say this man fished so so hard .but sadly cudnt land the fish they kept getting off on him this is the joys of only fishing barbless hooks back at home in n Ireland .And to top this of for Billy they were all my flies I had tied him as a bigfishhunter surprise for ledyatt from me .

also I wud like to mention in this too my big bro from other side water Paul Stevenson. Glad we met brother . Plus the guys use we're with .. This lake in my eyes is a big fat 5 golden ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thanks for everything on this special day to us Paul and David . Until we return in 2024 .. Bigfishhunterz...

What a fantastic well kept professional run trout fishery. I have been fly fishing for over 40 years and I can honestly say that Ledyatt trout fishery is the nicest well groomed place I have ever visited. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING I was on a mobile home tour of Scotland, I visited Ledyatt trout fishery on the Monday, and also ended up fishing there Tuesday & Wednesday WHY great hospitality from David and the team at Ledyatt and catching trout of a life time huge and I mean huge. I will be back for sure. GUYS if your into fly fishing for giant trout this is definitely the place to visit.

25/6/2024 Well Well Well I'm back again at the most welcoming pristine kept trout fishery I have ever visited LEDYATT TROUT FISHERY I like this place so much that I fished 5 days on the trot in my first day first hour I managed to land a 13ish beatiful full finded rainbow trout then for the next 4 days I managed 1 fish not the lack of fish as there were fish to be seen everywhere although It was very tough conditions. But that's why it's called fishing and not catching. Anyway just being there on this pristine water i was fulfilled. I will be back again in September/October, for another session when the weather as cooled down and the fish are more on the hunt filling them selfs up for winter. Anyway David Bruce, and the team LEDYATT thank you very much for the extremely warm welcoming that you give.

Once again if you are into fly fishing this place is a must to visit.

See you soon.

Warmest...

Where do i begin drove all the way from Liverpool for two days fishing and was it worth it? Most definitely, wow what a place i have never been made to feel so welcome at a fishery and all my life and I’ve fished many. David and Arthur are some of the most down to earth and friendly people and are a credit to the fishery. On this occasion the weather was the enemy, giving us some really challenging conditions and the fish had their heads down. However 10 minutes into day one I hooked up into an absolute Monster resulting in my PB 9.2lb rainbow. Day 2 started a-bit slow, loosing an absolute tank of a brownie on a (white baby doll) the day went on and it wasn't looking good, but in these conditions persistence was key and I got another absolute Stunning 7.2lb rainbow. The quality of the fish in this fisheries is next to none and the colours are like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else. Cant wait to come back already and its experience i will not forget. This place has got to be on your bucket list get up there and go mega hunting.

I fish a lot locally and Ledyatt is by far my favourite place to go, it's superbly well maintained and has a well stocked loch full of healthy hard fighting fish that feed naturally on the abundant nature around the place, everywhere you look you'll see sedge, damsels, daddy's, hawthorn flies etc. the staff are always welcoming, very knowledgeable and keen to help out. If you love fly fishing and are in the area then it is most definitely one to visit. you might even hook into one of the MEGA trout (which so far have managed to dodge my landing net) 🤣

What a place !!! I witnessed 3 Browns (10pd+, 15pd+ and a 17pd+ get landed!! And a 10pd+ rainbow hooked and fought that broke the fly!! Amazing location, amazing people and even though I only caught 3 x 4-5pd rainbows it was a fun day. Had a lot of follows and learnt a lot. Ledyatt is ALIVE with fish and is such a peaceful and beautiful fishery that hands down is worth a visit !!
