Uisken Beach — Local services in Scotland

I camped on this beach as a close access point to Fionnphort. This site only costs £2 per person per night and the views are spectacular. Note that there are no facilities and it is a cash only donation to stay. The caretakers drove by every so often to collect the payment and take your details, or you can stop at the house on your way in to pay and get permission. Incidentally, many places on the island only accepted cash and I only found one bank machine (inside a general store with limited hours) so you may want to bring some with you from the mainland.

I should point out that camping isn’t normally my thing (there are limited accommodation options on the island) so if you are a regular camper you may find other reviews more helpful.

Uisken beach is a very remote, very isolated beach cove with white sands and a lot of very interesting rock formations/outcroppings that were a blast to climb all over!
