Exhilarating climb to the top of the highest of the Howgill Fells. There does not seem to be a quick or easy way to do this one. We climbed from Sedburgh which was about 4 miles and uphill nearly all the way on good safe paths. There are plenty of other routes too. There should be good views but we...

Great views from The Calf on a clear day. Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough. The Langdales and Coniston Old Man range. The Kent estuary. High Street and the Eastern Fells. It's well worth the effort to get up there. Probably not quite so much on a day...
