5 of us went on a Sunday and played 18 holes, we loved every minute of it. You're allowed to wear football boots as long as there are no metal studs. Half way around the course there is also a marquee with seating so you can kick back and have some food and drinks. We didn't take anything to eat with us so headed into the lounge to grab sandwiches, drinks etc - which were very reasonably priced - and returned to the course to sit and enjoy the weather before our final round. The staff are all super friendly and for £10 pp, what more could you want? We will be arranging a future trip with more of us! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to have a slightly chilled but definitely fun day.

Lovely little golf club. It’s quite dated in some areas but so super cheap to do the driving range the kids love it and super cheap day out. About a £1 for loads of balls and they rent Out clubs for all different ages. Highly recommend.

Fantastic course. Has 5 different courses as well so always able to get on. Well maintained and good design on the holes. The club house is friendly and welcoming. Never had a bad breakfast or tea from there.

Having very recently returned to playing golf at Knotty Hill. I was given the green fees price sheet. I questioned the concession as it didn't make a lot of sense to me. Members pay £12 for 9 holes £16 for 18 holes £18 on weekends hi Still reletively inexpensive. Concessions for seniors and students are exactly the same as full member prices. So no concession in reality. I questioned it again today thinking that talking to a different staff person I could get a light bulb moment from someone. My argument being that unless you're a visitor there are o concessions. I cited fishing as an example, that as a senior I get a slightly reduced rate to fish than those who are not seniors. I said that concession means a reduced rate for which you need to prove your age. Reducing the rate by £1 is a fair concession. The answer to that was. "but we'll lose a pound". Or, as I pointed out you could lose the whole £12. The reply, "take it or leave it". There is an answer to that but you can't argue with people who don't want to...

Used the driving range today. Good value. Most of the practice balls are OK, and reasonably priced. Two chipping greens. Undercover and open-air grass driving bays. 9 hole putting green with interesting slopes but lacking grass in areas. Played a round of golf on Tuesday last week. Good value and it has huge potential following recent work to create 4 18 hole courses in 8 loops of 9. As it matures it will be very good. Grass on greens a bit long, holes not trimmed. Bunkers pretty solid rather than sandy. Clover in the rough is hard to get out from. Friendly and helpful staff. Good basic food. Large...
