Beautiful place for sunset... As our weather was not favourable for sunsets and sunrises, we went there during the day. You can see it better from the drone. The car park is much bigger now than on Street View... And paid, at least 3 hours... I don't know what a person can do here for 3 hours, most people are happy with 5-10 minutes... In practice, every now and then a couple of buses arrive, hundreds of tourists get off, they crowd on the railing to see something and take a picture, 10 minutes later they leave and more buses arrive. The wind was absolutely insane... The railing made interesting howling noises as the shadow of the crazy wind got inside... If you get away from the crowd and look into the shires, you might be lucky enough to see dolphins and sometimes even whales (bring binoculars or telephoto)...

I can imagine something like the Grand Canyon Skywalk (an arch over the cliff) to give people a better view :D (of course, after all the real problems are cured for the next 200 years and we're swimming in gold like Scrooge McDuck). And when the technology is there, the platform won't be blown away by the raging winds.

There's a dinosaur footprint site 10 minutes' drive from here, so if you're in the area you might want to check it out - Jurassic Dinosaurs Footprints at An Corran

As for the drone, it's so confusing... When you arrive at the car park and park at the front and go to the pay machine at the front to pay, you look around, you look at the information board... no information about the no drone zone.... But if you walk around and happen to go to the meter on the opposite side, there is a No Drone sticker... If you google for up-to-date information, for example on dronescene.co.uk, the latest information from the 28.11.2023 says you can fly drones there (https://dronescene.co.uk/where-to-fly-drone/mealt-falls-and-kilt-rocks/scotland/3008). Elsewhere you'll find that environmentalists don't want drones there because nesting birds and some tourons couldn't fit in the skin and chased a dolphin...

Beautiful lookout. Don't expect to see the main photo on google the viewing platform is not built out that far. The parking lot is massive considering it's just a viewpoint (no hikes). Paid parking lot. People move in and out of here quick so if the viewing platform is packed just wait. We lucked out and when we were heading back to the car there was absolutely no one at the viewing platform. If you stand in a specific spot on the platform you can hear it whistle too, at least it did that the...

Kilt Rock is a stunning viewpoint with breathtaking coastal scenery! 🌊🪨 The cliffs resemble the pleats of a kilt, and the nearby waterfall cascading into the sea makes it even more special. 💦 The sound of the water and the crashing waves below create a peaceful atmosphere. 📸 It’s a great spot for photos, but there’s not much else to do besides admire the view. Still, it’s absolutely worth a quick stop if you're exploring the...

If you’re planning a trip to Scotland, you have to drive up into the Highlands and stay on Isle of Skye. Here’s what you should add to your itinerary 📝 all of these spots are accessible by car! ⛰ Neist Point is the most westerly point on the isle of Skye, you get incredible views of the coast line and the Neist Point Lighthouse. We spent a few hours here, it’s breathtaking! ⛰ The Quiraing hills on Isle of Skye and the views are otherworldly. I haven’t been to New Zealand but this is what I imagine it looks like! There’s walking trails you can explore to get the full experience. ⛰ Mealt Falls & Kilt Rock - the falls follow the dramatic cliffs into the Sound of Raasay, and Kilt Rock gets its name from the striation in the rock that resemble a kilt 🌊 ⛰ Sligachan Bridge was a favorite of ours that we stumbled upon while driving off of Isle of Skye. We got there early in the morning and it was jaw dropping. The snow capped mountains behind the stone bridge felt like being in a movie. #isleofskye #isleofskyescotland #scotlandtravel #scotlandphotography #scottishhighlands #travelblogger #travelblog #scotlanditinerary #scotlandexplore #sligachanbridge #quiraing #kiltrock #neistpointlighthouse
