We were on a long journey with our two small children and stopped here after seeing the service signs, hoping to take a short break and use the toilet facilities. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience.
We approached the Londis store around 10:34 PM. The door wouldn’t open, so we asked the staff member inside (a woman who appeared to be of Indian origin) about the toilets. She responded through the window that the toilets were closed and only open until 10:30 PM. My husband politely requested if she could make an exception since it was just a few minutes past that time, but she refused and was quite rude in her tone.
I want to be clear—this is not about ethnicity; I’m Indian myself. But I was shocked by how dismissive and unkind she was, not just to us but also to another family nearby, including an elderly woman and some men, who were also turned away without any explanation.
According to Google, this location is listed as open 24 hours. If that’s the case, why were the basic facilities like toilets closed so early? And why was the response from staff so unhelpful and unfriendly?
We understand that staff may follow rules, but a little kindness and communication go a long way—especially for tired families and vulnerable people on the road.
I hope the management can look into this and ensure better service and clarity for...
Read moreAgain. Like the eastbound very new and looks renovated but it's got such a low rating for these reasons
Picture this, I am in the middle of a 5 hour drive. 1 and a half hours in not including traffic. And I think. Oh yeah let's go the services! I fancy some food and I need the toilet. Got there. Went to the toilets and the worker on the desk very ignorantly told me it was closed. I then went to the Gregg's to get a sausage room. Shut. Cash only. I was also told this by the very ignorant and rude worker. I understand there was a power outage on this specific day but there still should still have toilet facility's for those people who have been driving for hours and hours and hours....
Read moreNow then, now then, now then. Let me tell you something pal, this is one of, if not the best service stations in the country by a mile! Everything just oozes pure class from the pretty petrol pumps ⛽️ to the breakfast meal deal from greggs. Even the toilets are remarkably clean, fresh and sexy. If I were you though pal stay away from trap 5 that one stunk, I ended up in trap 2 and that was a beaut. There's even a little hotel on this site if you need a kip, but like most hotels I'm sure they charge an arm and a leg for a Saturday night so do a bit of research on that one son. As for the car park, no issues there and I even spotted a heron from my cab window while devouring my...
