DANGER! DO NOT DRIVE down the lane to this view point! My sat nav took me to this view point, no warning and at no point were there any signs to say that this is an extremely steep and narrow lane with no turning area at the bottom. So i got stuck. I could not reverse my Skoda yeti back up the lane and I could not possibly turn around due to it being such a narrow lane. I had to run for help to the nearest house where a lovely couple helped me by contacting the owner of the creek who towed me back up the lane to safety. This put a real dampener on my trip as I was on my own and it was a very scary experience. The owner of the creek told me that this happens frequently. I did request he put a sign at the top of the lane but I'm not sure if he will.

A beautiful destination to walk to, on the edges of the River Dart. Good views up the river and close to old-time oyster beds.

Wonderful peaceful Sunday lunch, possibly the best I’ve had. We will definitely be back.

To get here you will need to walk. There is not much parking so plan ahead. The road leads onto a public footpath which is steep in places. There was, when I walked, a stall you could buy some local produce which was very handy including treats for dogs. The creek itself is very tranquil with wildlife and boats making a perfect picture. The footpath continues round the estuary, be sure you don't get stuck in the mud when the...

Had such a lovely evening at this restaurant. Perfect relaxed atmosphere while still feeling a little bit fancy with low lighting, rose at the table, nice quiet music and the most beautiful view you ever have seen....
