Food Late cold and missing. Guaranteed we are 40 minutes away from the takeaway so we expected a wait but after an hour and a half wait and the delivery estimation (estimated at 8.30) having already passed we rang to be told 10 minutes away, and it didn’t turn up, called again at 8.45 told another 10 minutes. Didn’t turn up so rang again at 9.10 said same thing. Rang at 9.30 again, turned up at 9.45 late and cold. Honestly wouldn’t be bothered about the time if they had just told us when it actually was going to be rather than lying. Then find out that a burger is missing so one of us is missing dinner. Tried to get a refund via just eat after the takeaway said they couldn’t deal with it but agreed we deserved a refund. Out of £64 I received £20. They said that was for the food being cold but haven’t received compensation for the burger and they’re refusing to pay even though I put in two compensation requests on the night. This relates to delivery orders only. As a regular customer of collection and the standard of food is normally very good. But we have zero luck with delivery which we only use if we have had a very long day at work and then put the children to bed. It says 45 minutes on their own website but it never is. Tonight we ordered at 6.45pm and it’s now 8.30pm and still no order. After ringing up to see they recieved our order we were told 10-15 minutes and that was 35 mins ago. We normally collect but after working very long day we decided on delivery. It’s not difficult to change the time so your customers know if the business is busy or call people to say do you still want your order. So frustrating as we are only 5-10mins away I’d rather have gone in as a walk in customer an hour ago!! We ordered our food at around 6pm, and it has now only just arrived at 8 (we do only live 15 minutes away). We called the same woman numerous times and she said that our food would be 5 minutes after we’d already waited 50 minutes - then proceeds to take another hour. Called her again at 7:40 and she said that she’d lost our ticket! The man that just delivered our food showed us that she’d put down the wrong post code on the new ticket - presuming she just guessed it! The food is warm yet the lamb shish kebab is an absolute rip off! 1 bit of pitta with only 3 SMALL pieces of lamb. Even after the long wait no discount for anything!
