Well, what an experience! |I had booked at table 5 weeks previous for a table for 8, Fathers Day, explaining that we needed 2 highchairs and that we would have to be eating at 1pm so that we could leave promptly as we some of our group had to go off to work. We arrived early so we could get drinks sorted, find our table get everyone sat down and ordered. When we arrived there was no highchairs and had to ask twice to get them to the table as I couldn't see them to get them myself. On the advert it was stated that dad's get a free pint, the 2 dad's had a pint of coke each, and the rest of us had water. At 1.25pm our tickets hadn't come so we could get our carverys, so had to ask what the procedure was to get fed. A member of staff gave us a till receipt and told this will have to do. So the 2 members of our party that had to go to work went 1st and joined the que, then was told rudely by a member of staff to go and sit down it's not your turn!! I re-explained that he has to leave early and that we was ideally meant to be eating at 1pm, (now 1.32pm). Enjoyed our meal, chap on the carvery was great, well mannered, chatty and welcoming. Enjoyed our meal, small criticism is it could have been hotter. Went to pay for 4 regular carverys. 1 portion of chips and a kids meal. Charged £80. Something wasn't right. Regular carvery is £13.95 but today was 14.95. Drinks were free, but then we was charged. |So breaking it all down and a confrontation with 2 members of staff. I got to the correct amount. I did not dispute paying for chips and kids meal. I had an issue with the price of our carverys and getting charged for the cokes. On a normal day the price is £13.95 however on Fathers day it's £14.95. So the drink that is free is technically £1. |Also very lost to find the original bill reaching £80. Honestly not sure how they came to that price unless they charged for the 2 pints of coke. Unfortunately I never managed to take a photo of the original receipt, as a member of staff took it and screw it up before I had the chance. |Probably won't be going back, and if anyone does please check your receipt thoroughly. |Now contemplating wether to contact traiding standards about their...

Read moreA lovely place to stay the staff don't seem to have one job but about 6 but this isnt to the hotel or clubs detriment. Far from it. It means that you can ask someone and they sort it, it doesn't get passed to the housekeeper or other such things but shared as a team. Ask the Reception manager for toilet roll, they get it for you. The staff team seem like a little family unit too, always pally with each other no back biting and they come and hang out with families on days off.||The resteraunt/bar manager/head waitress or whatever title is an absolute gem of a staff member. Never stops moving, always on hand to sort you out. Clocks you at breakfast to prioritise a table for you. Can't do enough. Be warned; she's rapid!! ||Genuinely not met one member of staff Ive thought "meh" too.||Oh the facilities are great too...||The rooms are comfortable and clean. Note the superior club house rooms have the benefit of being on site to bar and great for families but they dont have the air conditioning unfortunately. They do provide fans, iron/ironing board, open wardrobe, lamps, hairdryer, kettle, free view TV the usual.||You have access to everything when there and do feel like a priority guest. They have a kids menu that has lots of choice but contained choice, those with kids will appreciate this (pic below).||The location is rural but its 3 miles from a tesco should you want anything you've forgotten and you can get on the A30 inside 2 mins. Launceston is a beautiful town. ||The onsite Trethorne Leisure park is an absolute gem or good or rainy days, you get a discount in as a hotel member too. This is walkable from any part of the resort. You dont need to move car. The staff there are more mixed, the just out of adolescence lads are a bit as you'd expect with whirlwind kids the pot noodle hair is the new "Rachel" it would seem and they're too cool. Nothing offensive like just a bit more dour. The ladies on the bar/bowling alley, more chefs kiss.||Acres of onsite parking to be had. It says first come but honestly unless the PGA tour is in town you're...
