There is a charge for the car park and it's cashless (Ā£3.50 for 2 hours). Plenty of parking spaces and overflow parking too.

On site cafeteria, public toilets and a playground. There's also a bike hire shop.

Absolutely stunning views of the Yorkshire moors. We walked to the white horse of Kilburn and back along a public footpath. Looked like one of the easier walks (relatively flat most of the way), but there looks to be lots of other tracks and paths you could take for a more difficult walk.

Lots of public benches along the way.

We also got to see a couple of gliders taking off and landing too as we passed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely revisit to see some of the less...

It's the main artery between Thirsk and Helmsley and it's very frustrating when lorries get stuck half way up and then decide to do an about turn back down the hill. It's a very steep hill (25%) and needs to undergo regular maintenance. The alternative route from Thirsk is not great and very narrow and bendy so I can see why lorries use Sutton Bank. On a tourist / visitor side.....the views from the top are amazing!! There's a large car park (not free surprisingly) and a small lay-by opposite which is full of large pot holes and should be...

Visited on our way home from Scarborough, perfect stop off place to stretch out legs and have a picnic with the kids. Facilities available, standard of what you would expect and clean enough. Extra covid social distancing measures in place to protect visitors and staff. Cafe open for take out only. Shop open and had loads of beautiful items at Reasonable prices. Staff lovely and friendly. You pay for parking but it's not too much and contributes to the overall upkeep of the facilities. Lovely walks and bike rides for all the family. Well...

Great place for a family walk with plenty of parking spaces. Only a five minute walk from the car park to the greatest view in England. Also there is some very good looking cycling trails that all start from here that are well worth a look. There is a nice visitor centre with a souvenir shop, a bicycle hire shop and a cafe inside. You can also walk from here round to the horse on the side of the hill.

Nice walk from the visitor centre which passes along the top of the plateau and the flying club (gliders!) and to the White Horse. Unfortunately it’s not easy to see the white horse from above very clearly and we didn’t have time to venture down so not sure what path access there is. Great views over the surrounding area. If you are lucky you can watch the gliders take off and land.
