We booked the Woldingham Golf Club for our wedding. We met with Angie who listened to our ideas, took note of our budget and came up with the perfect package for us.
We’d booked all our suppliers before COVID was even a thing and as the date approached we soon realised that the latest restrictions meant we were going to have to make some big changes. We decided to still get married on our planned date with our 30 guests, but have the meal and reception a month later when the restrictions would be lifted. Angie was very accommodating as we selected our second date and was understanding with our financial issues too.
Angie really alleviated my stress by chatting with me frequently through emails in the months leading up to the day and we spoke on the phone a week before both wedding days to confirm the details. We also met with the Toastmaster, Frankie, at the venue to confirm the running order, seating plan and ideas for the day(s). He was also essential in helping me to prepare a surprise video for my future husband, to be shown during our reception.
On the day(s), Frankie was professional, courteous and made sure everything happened at the times I’d communicated to him. My friends and family commented that the day(s) went so smoothly and there were no awkward gaps where nothing was happening, which is down to Frankie and the other staff working on the day(s).
Angie & Frankie definitely went beyond the call of duty and I was extremely grateful to them both for making our wedding so special.
I would definitely use the Woldingham Golf Club for an event...
Read moreWell what can we say? Where do we start? My husband and I got married on Friday 14th October at Woldingham Golf Club, and it was truly the day of our dreams, mainly in part due to the fantastic staff at this dream venue. Angie, who I have been in contact with for four years, is the absolute best event coordinator. Nothing has been too much trouble, despite having to postpone three times due to covid. She has been in constant contact with me, keeping me updated all the way through the process and I’m going to miss talking with her! The venue itself is stunning! It totally made our wedding day vision come to life and we have had multiple complements on choosing such a beautiful venue. Then on to the staff on the day. Shana and her team were so professional, organised, and helpful on the day, making sure that along with our toast master everything went according to plan, which it did! Again nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was out of this world, served piping hot, quickly and efficiently to all 90 guests. We had the best party and the bar staff were even having a dance along with us. We honestly couldn’t have done it without them. If you are looking for a wedding venue that is picture perfect, this is the place for you. We just wish we could do it all over again! Love Mr and...
Read moreA well established, quite open course of medium length. Well suited to the average golfer. Many holes allow a freedom to open one's shoulders from the tee without fairly badly directed shots suffering the certainty of a lost ball. However, the course, which nuns up & down the length of the most attractive Halliloo Valley, is no pushover. Many shots are played with the ball above or below ones feet and require consideration of course contours and more thought and skill than first impressions might suggest. Both fairways and greens are well maintained and, being on chalk downland, drain very well, meaning the course is playable all year and has rarely had to be closed due to wet weather. Several greens have quite challenging and subtle variations. Seldom have I known visiting players score a good round as easily as they previously assumed or professed they could or would. Few but very best Challenge Tour Pro's, have taken the course apart off the back tees (ie: scoring mid 60s) and some have been seriously embarrassed. A friendly club with a thriving members 'Seniors' section. A comfortable attractive clubhouse & dining/events facilities. Very reasonable green fees for societies and pay &...
