"BOWERMAN'S NOSE"..
DARTMOOR LEGEND;
(recently reviewed on BBC Radio Devon)
The Bowerman was out chasing Rabbits with his hounds in the local woods at night when he happened to interrupt a 'witches coven' in a clearing, where upon he kicked over the 'witches couldron' and chased them off with his hounds, laughing merrily.. 🙂
Of course, 'the witches' were not happy about being disturbed during their 'spell casting' night.. 🤔
So, one of 'the witches' bewitched herself into a large Hare, being spotted by the Bowerman who chased 'the witch' across Dartmoor until he was exhausted, where upon he was ambushed by 'the witches' who 'bewitched' him into granite stone.. 🤯
Hence, BOWERMAN'S NOSE stands as a reminder for all visitors to avoid 'the witches' of Dartmoor, if and when they see them.. 👻

Top tip, from the back it looks like a...
