Regular visitor here, however this visit was not pleasant. Friday 17th June approx 1220pm in the shop!

All went well until we queued up to pay for the strawberries, due to the queue in the ice cream/deli and there was a sign stating you can pay In the shop if needed.

So due the queue I went into the shop and the girl who was popping something outside immediately said to me as I approached, "YOU CAN PAY IN THE ICE CREAM SHOP WHETE YOU HAVE JUST COME FROM"!

I replied thank you and I'm well aware, however due to the queue and the clear sign post I decided to come here and pay, she had a right attitude on her and she muttered to herself, not even any customer service, when she served me she again said " THERES ONLY ONE OF ME AND TWO IN THE ICE CREAM SHOP";

My thought was your obviously not happy working here and your going to drive people away with such awful vibes! Sadly I didn't ask her name. But will definitely think twice before visiting here again

Now I did buy 3.5kg of strawberries!

Bottom line is Customer service I rate 0! Overall attitude I rate 0!

Would I visit again? Highly unlikely! I have been coming here since I was a kid and my grandfather first brought us here with family.

Such staff need to rethink if this job is correct for them.

The owners are great people and can't fault how it's run apart from such staff require better training in customer service and overall how to speak to people.

Now maybe she was a racist who knows! Maybe she had a issue with the colour of my skin! Because she wouldn't even look at me when serving me, and previous customer she had a laugh and chat.

I am not fussed on the lack of conversation, however I do feel very disappointed she can't even look at who she is...

I've driven past this PYO a few times when travelling to and from Gloucester, and although I live around 50 miles away, I thought on a weekend I'd pick up some PYO.

Arrived with my partner and 4-legged friend. The place was busy but managed to get parked. The PYO is in a separate hut to the cafe or shop. I asked for 2 punnets (1 for strawberries and raspberries). I went to walk in with my partner and dog and immediately told no dogs. I asked why and was told because that's the rule.. (no explanation, no signage, and nothing on the website).

I entered the strawberry bays and found a really poor quality of fruits. Some of the plants were overgrown with weeds, and much of the fruit was either small and withered or just small and hard. I ended up walking 4 bays to fill what was around a third of the punnet. So after negotiating the children picking and eating every berry they could lay their hands on, I decided to head to the raspberry bays.

What a disappointment. The plants were in a poor state with quite a few dead, dried up and other with fruit already savaged by mites and other insects.

I walked back to pay for my strawberries. When I arrived back, they placed the strawberries in the punnet straight on the scales. There was no mention in the pricing per kg that the punnets' weight was included, which I do think should be stated. In the end, they cost me almost £6

Took them home and to be openly honest the quality was no better than supermarket. It was not a...

I visited at the beginning of May, support small business!! Well on arrival car park was virtually empty and no one was waiting to go into the shop. We noted the information pinned to the door that only 2 people allowed in the shop at one time, very sensible, I checked inside quickly and noted a customer at the till checking out her shopping, we waited and when the customer left the shop we attempted to go in, I say attempted but we were ‘barred’ by an assistant ‘you can’t come in, only 2 people in the shop at one time’!!!!, ‘can you move I need to put this (hand basket) there’. I looked at him and then into the shop, only one other person inside, it simply didn’t make any sense, added to the rude and abrupt way we were addressed we did no more but (after standing in direct sunlight for approximately 7-8 minutes) turned and went back to our car and left. This really is no way to run a business especially in these difficult times. I don’t usually take to writing reviews lest alone bad reviews about any business but this has been playing on my mind since this experience and feel that management need to understand how their customers are being spoken to and treated. I’m sorry but I don’t think I’ll be supporting that local small business...

Lovely farm shop near Gloucester and Cheltenham and about 45 mins from Bristol, and a great place for PYO (pick your own) fruit outing, particularly strawberries, and raspberries during the month of June. You pay for the total weight including the weight of the punnet provided which can be taken home and then reused for free next time if we understood it correctly. Very helpful and kind staff as well. Ample spots for parking for both PYO and Farm shop visitors. Hoping to revisit this spot with friends again soon.
