Cracking little lump on the way up to a mountain summit. A short and steep walk up from Crickhowell - which gets its name from Crug Hywel. Fantastic views and the site itself is a nice place to stand and imagine what it would have been like when the fort was active. Well worth exploring if you're completing the horseshoe walk.

Crug Hywel is an amazing hike with great views, peaceful trails, and even wild horses along the way! The climb is rewarding without being too hard, and the scenery at the top is stunning. Everything you could want from a good hike — highly recommend!

Also known as table top mountain . Site of iron age fort that lends its name to the town of Crickhowell. Wonderful views, and can see for quite some distance.
