This short and very rewarding little toe-dip of a walk is best enjoyed as a slightly fuller short circular walk through the woods of St Nectan's Glen and cutting of the Rocky Valley, past the ruined mills and carvings, and along the coast to the sandy cove at Bossiney Haven but today, on our way from the newly rosetted bistro at Tintagel Brewery to Marhamchurch, we took a tiny detour to park up in the layby by the mill to walk down to the valley and stretch our legs in the Easter sunshine. There's a review here that bemoans the fact that "it was better 30 years ago" (apparently tourism has spoilt the place - says the tourist) but this is nonsense. Money is being spent to improve the natural environment here, I didn't see one piece of litter and this place is epically spiritual (stand by the carvings and tell me you can't feel the 1500BC residents around you). Another review here actually states they took kayaks down the gulley but you don't have to believe me that's nonsense, just walk down the valley yourself...

Had a lovely walk from the lay-by to the cove. The surroundings change round every corner. Once at the footbridge we followed the path down the to cover and the back towards the series of waterfalls. There had been a storm the night before which had stirred up the sediment asa result the bottom was hidden. I couldn't work out how to safely get down to the waterfall bowl so dips in the channel below. It was definitely an adventure scrambling around the rocks and finding a spot to dip in. The sea was a bit choppy and with no beach we...

Beautiful walk, down to coast. Parked in the layby opposite. And then walked down the slope drive to start. There are a few large steps up and down along the way, so some might struggle.

Gorgeous views thru the valley, following the waters journey.

No good for buggies, or...

A nice walk. Park at the layby across from the mill and walk down to the mill garden to start the walk. Caution: it is muddy and the path can be narrow in places making it tough to distance if groups are traveling in opposite directions.
