Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight is a hidden gem, perfect for those looking to enjoy a peaceful and scenic beach experience. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand, and the views across the Solent are stunning, especially at sunset. It's the kind of place where you can take a deep breath, relax, and soak in the natural beauty. The water is clear and calm, making it a great spot for swimming or paddling, especially during the warmer months. There are also plenty of opportunities for walking along the promenade or coastal paths, with picturesque views that are ideal for photography or simply taking in the scenery. One of the standout features of Totland Bay is the waterfront restaurant, The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant. It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink or a meal while enjoying the sea views. The service is friendly, and the food is good, making it a great place to rest after a walk or swim. Parking is relatively easy, with spaces available nearby, though it can fill up quickly during peak times. The bay is also dog-friendly, so it’s a great place to bring your pets for a stroll. Overall, Totland Bay is a lovely, quieter alternative to some of the busier beaches on the Isle of Wight. Whether you’re after a peaceful beach day, a scenic walk, or a bite to eat with a view, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

When approach by sea, Totland Bay has a secluded and private feel, as a little known Gem, as when turning in from the East you often find you are not the only one with the bright idea of anchoring in this Bay. The holding is good, and the depths great for all manner of watercraft, yacht or motor cruiser to drop anchor and BBQ away. VERY scenic when the sun is out and a great sandy beach to land your tender.

Beautiful, small, clean shingle beach (sandy as soon as you're in the water!) with lovely views of Bournemouth in the distance. Picturesque and fairly quiet when we were there, and perfect for a swim when the tide is in. A nice juxtaposition to the busy, wavy, big sands of Compton Bay. Pier was under reconstruction with a promising looking cafe not quite open. We also enjoyed an awesome ice cream from Calbourne Classics sold by a super friendly guy on his ice cream...
