We are here on holiday and had booked the races and reggae evening. The course is really well maintained, easily accessible and the staff work incredibly hard to keep it spotless. A team were constantly litter picking empty plastic glasses etc, excellent! There is a bag check before you enter and despite other reviews, the ladies were clean, plenty of paper and NO queue!! There seemed to be three lots of toilets so if there is a queue in one building, walk a few yards to the drinks 'tent' and use those. We thoroughly enjoyed the racing and managed to get a seat outside. The commentating was rather 'flat', didn't really have much oomph to it to create a build up during each race but the alcohol seemed to make up for it. Lots of folk having a great time, despite the pretty lively prices, £10 for a rum/gin cocktail, just over £6/pint, £38/jug! Food wise, we hadn't booked hospitality as was expecting some jamaican type fare but the only options were nachos/wraps, loaded fries or burgers (only beef, no chicken) so the only jamaiacan/reggae options were the drinks. We had loaded fries for a tenner each. The music started around 9.30pm and by that time it was dark and cold, remember to take a coat because lots of people were shivering in their shorts and dresses. The main pavilion remained open and was warm, with tables and chairs. The band were excellent, some people managed to dance, with side shows of men wrestling and women rolling on the grass. If you're not local, then think carefully about your taxi time, ours couldn't collect is any earlier and it cost £30 each way to/from Llanelli. The course is right next to a new housing estate and accord to Google the nearest pub is a 40min walk away, so you're stuck there! All in all the racetrack and staff were excellent, as is their website. You get what you might expect from a boozy, sun...

First visit to the Racecourse invited by Christian Williams It was an Absolutely Faultless and a really enjoyable day at the races. Entry was a little slow due to it being Remembrance Sunday and a delayed opening time plus the number of racegoers However the reception staff were brilliant even under pressure they were very welcoming which created a great impression of what was to come. In the Owners Trainers area the staff on duty were polite efficient and very helpful, throughout the day they helped to create a desire for a return visit.

Couldn't fault the food or the catering staff the service was superb as was the lunch (Sticky Toffee Pudding was perfect although not sure diet friendly )

The Racecourse setting is just lovely and the views surrounding it are beautiful especially with the autumnal colours. The very accessible large parade ring allows you to view the Horses and also to share in the atmosphere of the winners when they return.. Overall we had a great day out thanks to Christian Williams Racehorse trainer and Clive (who was leading up the stables runners) Thanks to the Racecourse Staff on duty for assisting in our enjoyment. 100%...

We visited this course on Easter Sunday. We arrived in good time in our motorhome to ensure we could park and were met at the gate by an attendant (agency) who cheerfully directed us to a grassy parking area rather than the gravel main car park, we queried this and was assured that it was hard and would be ok. " Park next to the green camper" he says. Needless to say we stuck in the mud as was the green camper and still he sent more down who also stuck. After an hour of pushing and shoving with help from other drivers but very little from the course, apart from one lady attending who did her best, plastered in mud we managed to be towed out with the help of the loca fire brigade who were on the course.A big thankyou to them and all who helped. Our request for a rope fell on deff ears and the head of security was plain rude and dismissive, not an apology in site. The racing here was ok but the course itself was nothing special, I'm not sure I would rush to...

We went on the family day over the Easter weekend, sounded and looked good with the photos that were advertised but it was a bit of a let down with the cold weather, what was actually there ie the small fair that my under 7 year old grand children couldn't go on some, plus queuing for what they could, paying £5 a time for the duck stall, but don't get me wrong the grandkids enjoyed so I was happy, plus there was horse racing on which the grown ups did indulge and won a few quid so at the end of it, it turned out to be an alright afternoon.

Great place can get quite cold when the sun goes down ! Busy on race days as to be expected ! No cash machines on small race days so take cash! Big days such as ladies day, gentlemen's day, champion hurdle ect there are cash machines on site . Burger and coffee van on site expensive and could do with a few more . Family fun days are great extra food and drink Van's and free fairground rides to keep the little ones entertained between races and face painting ! Fantastic place to be ! Wish there were more race days throughout the year !
