A glorious Wainwright which can be done a variety of ways but the ascent from the Mosedale valley is very steep and long. The views however are superb. It has a quirky rocky cairned top and is a great rest stop. I did it from the Mosedale end taking in other Wainwrights such as Carrock Fell, High Pike, Knott and then Great Calva. So I was glad I was going down Calva and not up!

A lovely Wainwright with stunning views! It's a long walk to get here from any start point. If you come up from Mosedale, I would recommend doing this last then desending down to the Cumbria Way and then following that back past the bunk House and picking up the road back. It's a long walk, so be warned.

This top in the Northern fells is worthy of a lot more height.A very stony rough top with a boundary line running over it. A must.
